Lennon Anne Murphy nasceu no dia 31 de Março de 1982. Começou a tocar piano quando pequena e fez seu primeiro show aos 15. Um dia, Lennon voltava para casa depois da escola e encontrou sua mãe, sua única parente, morta no guarda-roupa devido a uma reação alérgica causada por pílulas que havia tomado.
Isto aconteceu poucos dias antes de Lennon completar 18 anos e assinar com a Arista Records. Ainda assim, Lennon persistiu, lutou pela custódia de sua irmã mais nova Mariella (que ela ganhou), e lançou seu álbum de estréia “5:30 Saturday Morning”, em 11 de Setembro de 2001. O único single do álbum foi “Break of your car”.
Lennon então abriu shows para bandas como Alice Cooper, The Cult, Otep, Mushroomhead e Drowning Pool, apenas para dar alguns exemplos.
Após isto Lennon lançou um álbum totalmente instrumental chamado “Career Suicide”. Eram apenas Lennon e seu piano. A maioria das músicas eram do álbum 5:30 Saturday Morning, mas as inéditas também foram bem vistas. O cd era independente e foi lançado pela John Galt Entertainment, já que ela havia deixado a Arista.
Ela continuou excursionando pela Girlz Garage tour. Lançou seu terceiro trabalho, “I Am”, em selos diferentes e em paises diferentes. Até hoje o cd não está disponível nos Estados Unidos.
Atualmente ela trabalha em novas músicas e está em turnê.
Lennon gosta de assistir Lei & Ordem, sopa de Won Ton, Aladdin da Disney e tocar no palco.
No Rick’s American Cafe, em East Lansing, ela declarou gostar de “House”, pois é “obcecada por homens mais velhos com os quais gostaria de transar”.
Além disso, seu novo álbum não se chamará “I Am” nos Estados Unidos, e sim “Damaged Goods”.

Well a lot of people speak in the third person when they make these bios and stuff, but I’m just going to be real about it.
At the moment I’m 17 years old (born 7/10/92) and I’ve been around music my entire life. My mother was a poet and I have relatives involved in various genres of music, and I started out doing jazz playing saxophone when I was in the 4th grade.
I was pretty good, but in the 7th grade, I got the option to play percussion, and since then I’ve been all about beats and rhythms.
The first hiphop song I ever heard was The Message by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, so I guess I’m a bit old-school with my style because that’s what I grew up around.
Although I grew up around jazz and hiphop, in high school I went to a public school for the first time in a couple years… so I started hanging around a different crowd. They skateboarded and I started making beats about a year or so before I went to High School, and they liked my stuff and wanted me to get better, which has helped me come to where I am today.
I’ve been writing poetry and stories for years so the conversion to rapping and writing songs hasn’t been too hard. As an artist I hope to just get a nice fanbase and get people who are influenced by my music to go out and do something besides dance, because if I can get emotion in my music, I must be doing something right. So I hope you check the music soon and enjoy, I’ll save you the sob stores and maybel write a more “professional” bio later.
